User Groups and Certification Access
Understand how groups control certification visibility and access for your users.
Step-by-Step Guide
Follow these steps to complete this tutorial.
No Groups = Universal Access
When your organization has no groups, all users can see and access all certifications. This is the default behavior for organizations without group-based access control.
With Groups = Restricted Access
Once you create groups and assign certifications, access becomes restricted. Users can only see certifications that are: assigned to a group they belong to, OR assigned directly to them individually.
Multiple Group Membership
Users can belong to multiple groups. They get access to all certifications assigned to ANY of their groups. This allows flexible access patterns for users with multiple roles.
Viewing User Groups
In the Users table, the "Groups" column shows which groups each user belongs to. Use this to quickly verify access and identify users who need group assignments.
