Learn about different question formats and best practices for answering each type.
Step-by-Step Guide
Follow these steps to complete this tutorial.
Single Choice Questions
Select ONE correct answer from multiple options. Only one radio button can be selected. Read all options carefully before choosing - sometimes multiple answers seem correct.
Multiple Choice Questions
Select ALL correct answers using checkboxes. The question usually indicates how many answers to select (e.g., "Select all that apply"). Missing one correct answer or selecting a wrong one affects your score.
True/False Questions
Choose whether the statement is True or False. Read carefully - watch for words like "always", "never", "all", or "none" which often indicate absolute statements that may be false.
Gap Fill Questions
Type your answer(s) in the blank(s) within the text. Spelling and capitalization may matter depending on exam settings. If multiple blanks, fill all of them to receive full credit.
Drag and Drop Matching
Match items from one list to another by dragging. Common for matching terms to definitions, or pairing related concepts. All items must be correctly matched to receive full credit.
Code Snippet Questions
Questions displaying code with syntax highlighting. You may need to identify errors, predict output, or select the correct code snippet. Read code carefully, line by line.
