What’s New in FullCertified — Public Exams Update

At FullCertified, we’re continuing to improve the platform to make sharing and managing certifications more flexible for real-world use cases.
This month’s release focuses on giving you more control over how Public Exams are distributed and accessed, helping teams better manage external assessments, training sessions, and private certifications.
Let’s take a look at what’s new.
🌐 Improvements to Public Exams
Public Exams allow you to share an exam through a simple link, without requiring participants to create an account.
They are ideal for:
External candidates
Training sessions
Workshops and live certifications
Customer or partner assessments
With this release, Public Exams become significantly more flexible and secure.

✏️ Custom Public Exam Codes
You can now modify the public code generated for your exam and define your own. For example, instead of a random string, you can create something like "/slack-certification-august-2026".This allows you to:
Use meaningful, easy-to-share identifiers
Align exam links with your internal naming conventions
Reuse recognizable codes for recurring exams or cohorts
Provide a cleaner experience when sharing exams externally
Instead of relying on a random system-generated code, you now have full control over how your exam is identified.
🔐 Password Protection for Public Exams
Public Exams can now be protected with a password.
This feature is available for Business and Enterprise plans and allows you to restrict access to only the participants you choose.
You can now:
Run private training sessions using a public link
Share exams securely with specific groups
Add an extra layer of control without requiring user accounts
Use Public Exams in more structured certification workflows
This is especially useful for instructor-led sessions, internal certifications, or customer-specific assessments.
With these improvements, Public Exams are now a strong option for both open and controlled environments.
We’ll continue expanding FullCertified capabilities to better support both open learning experiences and controlled evaluation environments. More updates are already in progress, and as always, we build based on feedback from teams using FullCertified every day.
If you have suggestions or features you'd like to see next, we’d love to hear from you.
